My favourite period in history... I really like the late Victoriand and Edwardian time - especially when it comes to the UK. I also like the '50's, '60's and '70's in my own country, because in that you can see the shifting of the times. I really enjoy the youngest history and also Greek and Roman myths - but those more in view of later literature. When it does come to literature, i am a great fan of Dutch 1880's - 1890's, 1930's and 1960's literature. But in painted art (i do not know the English word for it) i like pre-rafealites. Some of those paintings are so dazzling with colour and life - even though often showing apathy... Thourhg literature i am getting to know Tudor times - i am aware that Philippa Gregory does a lot of prettying up, but boy - her books are fabulous! I LOVE them. Anyway - i never was any good at choosing Describe your mobile phone (cellphone).

It is a silver flip phone. A simple LG Verizon that was free when I renewed my contract. I really picked it because it had the largest buttons and my grandmother was getting the same phone. It has a camera phone, which I am tempted to missuse on occasion, especially when there are silly cart boys with blonde anime hair skipping through the parking lot. There is the ability to download songs to it and add a memory card but I have done neither. It is a simple phone, but it has treated me well and I enjoy it. Though it does have a bizarre tendency to make both me and my friends sound loud, only for my best friend Ann and Stef (stefdarlin). Very weird. Edit: I forgot to add a question... Describe your closest internet friend...

This, Laura, is a very mean question! Because I simply can't pick one person at all. It's too difficult, so I'm going to talk about lots of people. And no names, it should be obvious to the person, not that half of them will read this, which they are. And not everyone on here will be a person. I knew there was I reason I had put off answering this.
One of them is a terribly mean person who made me think of who I am closest to, an impossible task. Though she is really a completely lovely person who I am missing a lot at the moment. She is incredibly strong and loving person, and teaches me in her own way to be a better person and be less... defensive. I trust more. She lets me leave her long rambling emails that contain rants about a wide range of things I hate. And she manages to make sense of them, and give me advice in her replies. She doesn’t, I don’t think, sit at her computer screen rolling her eyes at another long email filled with half thought out rubbish. She always copes, and always cares, and will continue to do amazing things in her life. I will forever be grateful for The Hideaway where we became properly acquainted as fellow ADMM shippers.
The next person I also met at the same place, where we were fellow Gryffies battling for the House Cup together. She is also a recipient of similar emails from time to time, and is always understanding. She is very strong, and I see a lot of similarities between us. She understands my need for self protection, and does the same thing. She has an excellent taste in music and I am incredibly jealous of her festival-going. I love playing name that tune with her and bouncing off each other’s clues, and knowing the songs. She is worse than me for getting enough sleep and looking after herself. We are both mothered by the first person, though she herself has her moments. I know I can turn to her if I need to, even if it is just to share a Brit thing, or for back up over the spelling of colour and other such words. Though she did laugh at my alphabetised CD shelf. And she corrupts me with her wonderful angsty stories.
The third is someone who isn’t on here at all, but I am still close to. Though we haven’t spoken in ages we can always reminisce about Gryffie pride, sharing the tea duties and long chats on msn. She is wonderful, and we should talk more, but most importantly we still can talk.
My next wonderful friend is incredibly clever and talented, though I’m not sure she believes it. Though she should know it. She writes wonderful stories, and we have interesting conversations. She deserves to do so well, and I believe that she will do. I love beta reading her stories, and working on them with her. She speaks and writes wonderful English, despite her pleas to the opposite. She definitely worries too much, and I always want to give her a hug when she does. Though there are several hundreds miles of ocean and Europe separating us. Thank you my friend, and please remind me that I want to learn some simple Italian phrases.
The fifth and final one I am going to talk about (because I am tired and have reached a point where I can stop) is the friend who lives closest to me. She introduced me to MCR and we always have a bit of rivalry between us because of different houses. I remember our first ever conversation on msn. It was about Pirates of the Caribbean, and you never did write the rest of that fic! How far we have come, and another friend I need to be grateful to The Hideaway for. I love our chats, and I hope we will be speaking more often now. Someone who can whinge with me about college, and parents. And silly things like that. I miss her terribly when she’s not around. I love our chats, and I always worry about her, but I know she is sensible and looks after herself. And will always be fine.
I love you all, and more, but these are the very closest people to me online I think. I am tired now.
Describe your most prized possession...

Hmmm... I have been trying to decide how to answer this. Growing up in a crazy, broken, dysfunctional, and constantly moving home, you don't keep a lot of material things. So I have decided to go outside the box with this.
My most prized possession is my faith. It is the only thing I have that is truly and completely mine. I am in control of it, and no one but me can take it away. My love for and belief in God has carried me through more valleys than I want to discuss. It has brought me a man who loves me more than his life. It has brought me a best friend who is willing to drop anything for me. It has helped me understand my parents and family. It has led me from place to place and will continue to lead me for the rest of my life.
I know not everyone believes the same as me, and I am fine with that. I was brought up to believe that God meets us where we are, we just have to look for him. Some people look in different ways and some people don't believe he is there at all and I am okay with that, because in the end I can only believe what I believe. As long as I'm not forcing that on anyone else and I keep learning, I'll be okay.
Something I was told this week that made me laugh. The definition of a Disciple, a member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ): Love Jesus and don't be an ass. That sums it up quite nicely I think.
What is your least favorite thing you did yesterday?

Hmm, this one is rather easy: Getting up to go to work. Is it necessary? Yes. Especially when payroll is involved. Heck, even I want my paycheck, therefore I drag my happy ass out of bed at such an unseemly hour so I can make sure I get paid and everyone else does too. Let's face it, people form angry mobs when something goes amiss with their finanaces. ::shudder::
Hmmm, now let's see, what to ask about.

Without the internet I would not have met or at least not be able to keep in contact with most of my friends. I recently got a blackberry mostly for the internet and email capabilities. I keep track of my entire life online through calenders and email. I just cannot fathom life without it. Hmmmm... that probably isn't such a good thing.

My favorite show is Criminal Minds. It is odd, shows come and go, but I seem to have been seeking this one out for several years now. I realize that many people might shake their head at the content, but living in the world we live in now, I find the content informative and interesting. I also am in love with Dr. Spencer Reid. He is just so dang cute and smart. Sigh.
Describe your favorite singing group or singer. =o)
