I just saw the new movie not too long ago and decided to finally post about it today. I didn't re-read the book before seeing the movie, and believe that I was much better off. Not having read the book in a few years, I was able to be less nitpick-y throughout the movie and enjoy it for itself, even though they cut out Dumbledore's funeral. What did everyone think of the new movie? I didn't see a thread for this yet, but if there is, feel free to delete this one.

I had the same problem with the HBP movie that I did with OotP. A great deal of information was cut out, along with important cutscenes. On the other hand, Snape had some good scenes. I would have preferred less time on the romantic plotline, though, and more on Slughorn and Tom Riddle's past.
It was disappointing that Dumbledore's funeral was largely left out, though. I was surprised it was, actually. since it would have been a good effects scene.
