A/N: for the Spring Flash Fic board... It's exactly 275 words.
The dark clouds above rumbled softly, moving closer and closer to the castle. Behind the castle, the setting sun shone pinks, purples, and oranges along the trips of the threatening clouds. The wind was picking up, blowing through the trees and whipping the leaves right off the branches.
Filius pulled Pomona by the wrist, both stumbling, out of Greenhouse #1. Filius urged her to follow him, as he pulled her up the hill, but she wasn’t able to get her footing. She stumbled along up the hill behind him, giggling every time she almost fell.
They finally stood, their breath slowing down, at the top of the hill, staring at the upcoming storms. A loud crash of thunder sent the students who were dragging their feet, scurrying inside the castle, to eat dinner.
Pomona stood beside Filius, her stare shared between Filius, and the advancing storm. After a few minutes of standing there, staring at the storm, Pomona tentatively asked, “Uhm... Filius?”
Sighing, Filius looked at Pomona with a disappointment. “Yes?”
Pomona frowned. “What are we doing? We’ll be late for dinner.”
Filius sighed, before linking her arm, and leading her towards the castle. “I just thought... well I thought it would rain sooner. I know how you love the rain. And...” He stopped and looked into her brown eyes with an embarrassed smile. “Well, I remember when we were talking a couple of weeks ago, how you’ve always wanted to be kissed in the rain and...”
Pomona’s smile widened, as she pulled him in for a slow, lingering kiss. She pulled back, and rested her forehead on his, still smiling.
“I’d kiss you anywhere.”
