This is for Sprinks!
It was such a terribly busy month for me, with reports that had to be handed in, meetings all the time and a house that is still a great big mess... Finding inspiration was hard. Still, i have concocted this little fic, that was fluffy and nice, including a Fanged Geranium!
Pomona snuck into the library. The clock in the Great Hall had just chimed eleven. Darkness was surrounding her. She knew Madame Pince wasn’t around. Irma was the type of woman who goes to bed at ten thirty, no matter what. Pomona however had an emergency.
She took her wand from her robes and whispered the famous First Year spell: “Lumos” and directly another spell to make the light glow softer. She went from shelf to shelf in search of the book that would help her sort out her burden. Where would she find a spell that could help her put her mind at ease and her troubles disappear?
In the back of her head she could hear the scream. Suddenly it had come – without a warning, without a sign. The scream had startled her and she still shivered. Talking had been a great strength of them, but this time the talk had done more bad than good. Revealing all at once was perhaps not the best strategy, Pomona thought with a faint smile.
Upstairs, almost at the foot of the stairs, Filius was on the floor. His eyes were closed, but his mind was racing. He lay totally still, because he feared that if he moved, he would feel like the room was spinning even more. Never before in his already long life had he experienced a feeling like this. The cold marble on the floor felt pleasant as sweat had formed on his back when Pomona had raced down the stairs. All he could coherently think was: take a deep breath… but it didn’t help. Words flew in his head and he was unable to grasp them.
In the library, Pomona called off the search and went back to the man she had left behind on the cold marble floor, while drops of sweat had appeared on his brow. The scream had made several items on his desk tumble down and since she had no idea what half of them were, she would have to get Filius back to life to repair them, or who knows what sort of contraptions she would make of them?
Filius could hear the footsteps on his staircase. They were softened by slippers. With his eyes closed he drew a picture of them. Going from her feet up, he drew his beautiful girl. A smile curled around his lips as he thought of how easily Pomona could kiss him on the lips, she didn’t have to bend over too much to reach him. He focused on her soft lips. The differences between the many kisses they had shared along the way. The first soft gentle kiss. The passionate kiss that always ended up getting both of them flushed and naked. Or naked and flushed. The pecks they would give in passing…
Filius was laying there, feeling as slain as in a fierce duel, while all that truly had happened was that one of Pomona’s Fanged Geraniums had somehow reproduced with a Venus Flytrap and the plant that had come out of it had been… vicious, to say the least. The thing had slapped Filius so hard, he had flown through the air and had crashed into the marble floor outside their chambers. Pomona had jumped up from their bed, dropped her book and ran downstairs, shouting that she was going to find out how to kill that plant. Filius had been too much in shock to be able to shout to her to get Poppy.
The sounds of feet approaching became louder and it turned out that Pomona had fetched Poppy. Poppy looked at the little man and Pomona could see her friend had trouble not to laugh out loud. But she kept quiet, levitated Filius off the floor and together the women got him in a nice, clean bed. Poppy examined him and after only a couple of spells and one potion, he was as good as repaired and Pomona took Filius back to their chambers.
Pomona pretended not to see the mess that was on and around the desk and she pulled out her wand to stun the new arrival. She brought Filius to their bed and helped him get in there.
“I am so sorry that my experiment hurt you.” She said softly.
“It’s alright. No harm done.” Filius answered with his eyes tightly shut.
“Does it hurt very much?” Pomona asked.
“Only when I breathe.”
Pomona bit her lip over that comment, but couldn’t suppress a giggle.
The giggles became louder and Filius started laughing too. Together they laughed so hard that the bed started bouncing.
“Careful!” Pomona panted between bouts of laughter.
“Oh Filius, imagine that I was trying to make you a nice anniversary gift and it turned out like this… I am so sorry.”
Filius shrugged.
“Don’t worry about it.”
“I am not worried, I am just sorry. But I could make it up to you…” Pomona said, with a tiny naughty smile on her lips.
“Make it up?”
As Pomona started kissing a trail down his cheek, to his neck and started to unbutton his shirt, Filius last thought before undressing Pomona was:
“Happy Anniversary, my love!”
Also to Sprinks, a great big thank you and Happy Anniversary. Thank you for letting me know this board excisted and made me feel so welcome.
