Laura is going to kill me so this will be my first and last fic. I should be studying for my final tomorrow, but this just hit me so here we go! (Besides who can blame me? FFPS are much more interesting than verb conjugations!)
Rating: any and all
Nobody belongs to me blah yada
The Dinner
He could not imagine what could be keeping her. They had agreed to meet at seven sharp, as they both had head of house duties to attend to since start of term was tomorrow. With the new term meant they both had little time to spend together any time soon.
He removed his pocket watch every few minutes it seemed, but in reality it was every few seconds. He desperately wanted to spend time with his friend or girlfriend, though the more he thought about it, he was never very fond of that phrase or the awkward newness of their relationship. He was sure he was falling for her, but he was unsure of her feelings and did not want to get ahead of himself.
7:10 and still no Pomona. What could be keeping her? He was almost beginning to get worried when she stumbled through the door of The Three Broomsticks. “So sorry I’m late Fil, Minerva had some questions about the prefects in my house and oh! Is that for me?”
She was so busy explaining herself, she did not even notice that he had a single red rose for her.
“I’m not one for plants, after all, but I saw this in a muggle shop and I quite fancied it. I looked through the rows and rows of flowers and this one was perfect.” He responded, quite proud of himself and yet unsure of how she would like it; he knew she had grown things much more beautiful.
“It is wonderful!” she beamed back at him, caught so off guard, she could not form any other words.
As her eyes met his, they both knew in this single instance that no matter how late either of them was for a dinner, they would spend as much time together as possible.
