Title: A Hufflepuff, Through and Through
Rating: R for really, if it were bad I would have posted it in the lemons section or something... lol
Summary: A friend reflects on the characteristics of a Hufflepuff.
A/N: So creating this section was a bit self serving, but I have no idea where to put this bit of nonsense. lol Thanks for reading!
Pomona Sprout was a Hufflepuff through and through. Her Ravenclaw mother and Gryffindor father had often despaired over the matter when she was small, but that hadn’t changed anything. Headmaster Dippet had often teased that hers was the shortest sorting in history.
That hat must have seen you coming, Miss Sprout.
In her personal and professional lives, she was always loyal, hardworking, and most assuredly honest. When she had joined Hogwarts’ staff, Albus had immediately asked her to fill the Head of Hufflepuff House position as well, knowing she was the best choice for the job.
There is no one who could be more an example of a true Hufflepuff than you, Professor Sprout.
In fact, Minerva had yet to see her best friend go after something or someone and not achieve her goal. And so, as she lay as Tabby on her favorite limb of the large willow near the lake, and watched Pomona and Filius take a stroll around the glistening body of water, she thought that she might want to warn him. That is, until they were close enough that it was no longer possible to ignore their conversation.
I know you are worried the governors won’t approve, but hang them! Marry me, Mona?
Later, as Poppy healed the broken bones she had sustained when Fil's words had caused her to lose her grip on the tree and come crashing down before her friends, Minerva reflected that apparently Hufflepuffs could also keep a secret.
