Title: Dear Filius Rating: No worse for you than Mary Poppins, and maybe better as I always felt that movie should have ended with Mary and Bert getting together. What the heck is "Goodbye, Mary Poppins, don't stay away too long." supposed to mean? KISS HER YOU FOOL!
*clears throat*
back to my story...
A/N: Written for a Hideaway contest. I own nothing. Dear Filius,
Happy Valentine’s Day.
I know most think it is a silly holiday, but one of the things I love about you is how excited you get when planning events and decorations for events such as the upcoming ball.
I wished to ask you to attend the Valentine’s Day ball with me, but I can never work up the nerve to invite you. Instead, I leave the matter in your capable hands.
If there is anyone you are interested in, please ask her to the ball. Even if it is not me, I wish that you could be happy with someone. You are such a wonderful man, Fil. You should share that with someone else who deserves you. As long as you are happy, I will endeavor to be likewise.
Yours always, MeA smudge of dirt by the closing and a single petal, which must have become trapped in her hair or robes while working, only to fall into his letter, were more than enough clues to point to the identity of his admirer. Filius smiled as he knocked on her door, chocolates in hand as it would have been ridiculous to bring flowers to such a witch.

Breathe, Sprinkles dear. You know I love this, it's just so sweet and so 'awww'. And yay for her clumsiness and that he's come to see her. *Happy sigh*. Something to get me through chemistry today .

No worse for you than Mary Poppins, and maybe better as I always felt that movie should have ended with Mary and Bert getting together. What the heck is "Goodbye, Mary Poppins, don't stay away too long." supposed to mean? KISS HER YOU FOOL! Well, there is the highly symbolic umbrella/cane frolicking and intertwining and climbing higher and higher scene... IDK, maybe my mind's in the gutter, but that does not seem like a good thing to show for three and a half hours unless there is some kind of meaning behind it. And it's like, Oooo, let's cut away from, Bert and Mary while all this is going on so that no one will suspect... Ok, my mind's in the gutter. Still, it makes you think. I loved the fic. The flowers part is win. It was nice and fluffy and teeth rotting. And the dirt smudge. It's precious.
