ok, another clue as requested. the band got together in 1997 and split up in 2003.. The guitarist was married to a popular tv presenter in the early 2000's
I think you should focus on the song, (I was doing the title last night at the concert )

Ok, clues as I am going away for the weekend so won't be around.
1. the band, they have a britpop connection, even though they themselves are anything but. 2. You might find the band at the zoo. 3. The song, It won't make you feel bad.

It's Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc Britpop connections... good clue.
Next lyrics:

Okay, you can. *Ponders clue*
Band: All right we're leaving. Song: Well there is an atrociously obvious clue if needs be but you'd get it straight away, erm. The title of the song is the next line if you can sing it. I'm stuck for a better clue to this, I'll post one if I can think of something.

Okay clues:
Artist: He's very famous and successful, and has been around for ages. He comes early in my alphabetised CD shelf, and I can pronounce his name properly, unlike some. I shout at my radio whenever they pronounce it wrong.
Song: You might write a letter to this person addressed with Dear, and maybe go to a disco, or something. That is a bad clue.

If that is right which is the correct pronunciation of his name?
