I think it's blinded by the light, originally by Bruce Springsteen. Am I right?

You are, though I didn't know it was originally Bruce Springsteen, the Manfred mann version is the only one I am familiar with, but yes.

I didn't know that either, but I was looking on Wiki as I couldn't for the life of me remember who did sing it.
I was going to post this last night but I was far, far too drunk.
"I am not afraid of the dark Where your words devour my heart."

You guys seriously didn't know that Springsteen sang that?

Nope. Manfred Mann all the way. I am also stuck, jaye, utterly and completely. And although I am also sure a clue will be of no help this time, it won't hurt to try.

I have listened to the Springsteen version on you tube, I quite like it.
So, clues...hmmm.
1. You might find their home is a bit cluttered...Elo do you remember my threat to use an Australian band (not too obscure though)
2. For the song...think about a star...but not one too far away.

yes, the reprise is what I want for my wedding which is... You're my best girl and nothing you do is wrong, I'm proud you belong to me; And if a day is rough for me, Having you there's enough for me. And if someday when everything turns out wrong, You're through with the human race, Come running to me, For you'll always be My best girl!

Post by jayejaye on May 6, 2008 16:05:23 GMT -5
OK, I can't think of any clever or cryptic clues...So...
1. The singer started in a pop band in the early 80's then began a solo career in the mid 80's. She is still recording today and also performing on stage..
I can't think of a clue for the song without giving the title away completely...I'll keep thinking.

I know double post... but I have thought of a better clue.
This artist played on (the west end) stage the same part as Queen Latifa did on film...
