How much CR-ness is there inside you?

I think they had former love stories, and that they get together later in life. I just imagine them having been happy single for a while, getting on with their lives then *bam*

Given that I imagine a) that there is an age difference between them & that FF is somewhat older than PS, and b) that they didn't meet until PS was well into her adult years, I would HATE to think that either of them just had nobody to love them all that time, especially Filius -- he's not my type, but he's just too cute to have spent many decades all by his lonesome! The thought makes me wanna cry!

So I think it was a wonderful and happy thing when they met, and it was all very sweet and Cupid's arrows struck and all that, but I think they are both too wonderful not to have loved and been loved before they met each other.

I love CR because there is so little known about them, giving me (and all of you) a chance to mold them into a shape we want. Ours to play with, much less than Hermione and Ron, or Harry and Ginny and even Albus and Minerva - especially Albus' character is highly filled with detail and even if their relationship isn't canon, you cannot change the characters.

I am pretty certain that Filius and Pomona didn't fall in love until after they had loved and lost before, which makes their characters more rounded and perhaps even more fun.

We know nothing of their backgroundds basically, so you can invent all the characters surrounding them: family, friends. Of course you know they live in a castle and in my case, i assume that Pomona and Minerva are the best of friends and the same goes for Poppy and Pomona.

I like to think that Filius is included in Albus' circle of friends and that he and Hagrid are friends as well.

Naturally, writing for this board is because of all these 'unknowns' quite a bit more difficult, more of a challenge.

I have shipped them since I began writing fan fiction, before knowing there was someone else in the world thinking about the two of them together, but I admit that sometimes my fantasy leads me astray.
In my LaM saga, she was formerly Rufus Scrimgeour's wife, and when younger he had an affair with Prue Prewett, Neville's great-aunt on his maternal side.
In my last long-fic, Pomona had a short love story with Horace (!), but she married Filius in the end.
