I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be out of town for the next week or so. I will be teaching this weekend for a youth convention and then on to my mothers for a few days to visit with her, my sister-in-law, and my nephew. I don't know what my internet situation will be like, but it isn't as if this site can't exist without me. I have a feeling I could disappear for a while and the thing would just go on and on. lol SO have a great week, ya'll.

I am going to feel as it's a century, not a few days.

I too agree with Saki. I have missed our chats this week. But my body wanted to shut down and I have been writing up a storm. I do hope you have fun , but you will definitely be missed. I look forward to your return. ;D Be safe. Stef =o)

Chicken Dumplings sounds awesome. What kind of dumplings do you make?

ummm...well I use a biscuit recipe(double batch) from the Joy of Cooking. I roll them out to about 1/4 inch thick then cut in recangles. Then cook them over the broth I made earlier with the chicken. (seasoned with my signature blend)
Is there another way? No canned biscuits here.

My friend/second-mother does bisquick ones. Adam bought me the Joy of Cooking last year for Christmas. I will have to look that up. I usually cheat and buy frozen ones. lol

frozen? I didn't know they came frozen. Ahh, the new things I learn every day. I use the basic rolled recipe with 6 tablespoons of butter. If you are going to make comfort food, you have to include the comfort. (real unsalted butter) If you look in there, it also tells you how to cook dumplins as well. I call it my cooking bible. lol I love it. ;D

I do love it. I randomly read passages from time to time but the only thing I have actually made is pie.

It seems to be the consensus that it was quiet while I was gone which either means I am here too much or that I talk too much, I think. lol
