I live in the Metro area and love the City, so a dark haired, handsome, very intelligent as opposed to arrogant- man takes me to dinner at Bottega del Vino on E. 59th St. where we converse about art and music and film not in the shallow way one usually does, but really connect on these topics because we are passionate about them. Then we go to the Metropolitan Opera House and see my favorite opera - Verdi's Macbeth. After the opera, he sees me to the train instead of leaving me to travel by myself on the subway even though I'm more than capable of doing so. It's just good manners.
Hope I don't sound like too much of a snob.
Ok... describe your favorite video / computer game. Ah, my true colors are revealed - I am a nerd.

My dear, welcome to the crowd, both for being a self proclaimed nerd and for the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. We are a chocolate and champagne crowd. lol My favorite video game has got to be the Sims. I have the original and all its extension packs, Sims 2 and a few extensions, and Sims: Lifestories. I love them all. It's so fun to create yourself and others. It's neat, if time consuming, to build up a little world for them all to exist in. Very cool. Adam and I both love the pets. It's just too much fun! Describe your least favorite activity.

I missed a page and had to fix my post, sorry. I love the Sims as well, by the way.
My least favorite activity is going on a first date, ironically enough.
It's always so awkward and my quiet, self-confident, bookish personality makes it all the harder to open up. Cold-ish and silent-ish is not exactly what most men are after. Add to that the facts that I am neither promiscuous nor one to suffer fools and you get one very difficult evening. No wonder I don't date much.
Describe your favorite piece of art.

My favourite piece of art is Munch's The Scream.
I'm a huge fan of the picture, I love the colour and the screaming person really draws me in. I'd love to know what he really was painting. I have one picture of it, it's a card I bought when shopping in Oxford with that on the front as I love it so much.

Well, it starts out with me sleeping in... Then I go to third church service... Once that's done, I go to brunch with my mom and step dad... After that, we might go to a movie or even go up to Idyllwild and spend some time up there in the mountains.

I love that Sunday, sounds awesome. Um... My least favourite movie would have to be... um... Okay let me explain first off, that I usually love all movies. And I mean all. So the only one that bothered me, and that I thought was a waste of my money to see would be... okay 2 - 1) the new version of The Black Dahlia, I haven't seen the first version, but I highly doubt it was worse than that. and 2) the fifth HP movie - don't kill me!! lol. It didn't have any of my favourite parts of teh book in it, and it felt like it was just all clips edited together. that said, I did LOOOOVVVE the girl who played Tonks and the girl who played Umbridge and teh girl who played Luna.
lol, um... describe your favourite song. oh dear, has that been done before?

Don't worry.. The fifth movie bugged me too... Though I loved the book.
My favorite song is "When You Wish Upon A Star" from Pinocchio... I just love the song and the hope that it gives me that I will someday become the author I wish to be..... It is my favorite song of all time.

That's okay, Crys. I think LB answered it last time. Hmm, my favorite song changes constantly. I like a lot of random stuff, so it is hard to pick just one thing. It can depend on my mood, the time of day, and the direction of the wind. lol At the moment it is a song by one of my all time favorite actresses. My friends used to tease me constantly because I love her so much. She has starred on Broadway, the Big Screen, and probably most famously, television. The song is from the musical, Dear World by Jerry Herman, which is based on the play "The Madwoman of Chaillot" by Jean Giraudoux. It's called I Don't Want To Know and it is of course sung by Angela Lansbury. Here are the lyrics... If music is no longer lovely, If laughter is no longer lilting, If lovers are no longer loving, Then I don't want to know.
If summer is no longer carefree, If children are no longer singing, If people are no longer happy, Then I don't want to know.
Let me hide ev'ry truth from my eyes with the back of my hand, Let me live in a world full of lies with my head in the sand. For my memories all are exciting. My memories all are enchanted, My memories burn in my head with a steady glow; So if, my friends, if love is dead, I don't want to know. And Mayday beat me to the punch, so now I'll describe my favorite relative... My favorite relative was definitely my Granny, my mom's mom. She was the one person who really understood my love-hate relationship with my mom, because it was nearly the same for her. We were a lot a like, and I hope that I will only grow more like her as I age. She taught me that I can be nice and still stand up for myself. She taught me that it's okay to be angry and to be sad as long as you are honest with yourself, you don't have to pretend everything is okay all the time. She also taught me not to take any crap from a guy, which is probably the reason I have had so many guys (friends and the boyfriends of friends) tell me they couldn't date me because I would break them. lol She was so much fun and I could honestly talk to her about anything from the benefits of using lard in cooking to racial injustice to problems with my roomates. I miss her more than I can rightly say. Describe your hometown.

Oh, gosh, now I get to ramble! My hometown is smack in the middle of the Bible Belt . . . strange 'cause I never went to church, though that's probably why I had so many people shoving Christianity down my throat The religion's nice, the people are annoying. Anyway! It's in Alabama, somewhere off west. And I still use the word "ya'll" way to much to be healthy. The town's called Springville, and it is sooo tiny, I think my mom's worst fear wasI would end up staying there and being a waitress for the rest of my life. But it had a cute little Main Street and a cute little library and a cute little church on nearly every corner. I swear, when I watch all those cliched teen movies I'm like, "Omigosh, that's my town!" The cheerleaders annoyed me with peppiness, there were big football games on Friday, and the popular kids where, well, cool. I would dearly love to go back now, a year later, and see how sucky everything looks. lol. But it's a sweet little town. Picture a slightly bigger "Cheers" and you get the picture. Okay, done with my rambling . . . Describe what you would do with one million dollars.

Sounds like a great town LB. A million dollars. First and foremost I would pay off Adam and I's school loans. Then I would sponser a CR gathering, in England of course. Then I would buy myself a car and put the rest in a CD or somewhere else I couldn't touch it. Maybe I would buy a house too... hmmmm... But definitely the CR Gathering! Describe what you would do with one million dollars, because I love this question.

That is a good question guys... okay. Um... I'd probably save some for university where I couldn't touch it. I'd defintely go shopping with my sisters and our friends. I'd take my great-grandmother (who is my hero for life) to Australia, somewhere she's always wanted to go. And then I'd get my boyfriend to help me research some charities (local ones and international) for children and animals and donate some. My heart breaks everytime I see those commercials. Which probably means I'm a sucker, doesn't it?
hm... Describe what you'd rather be doing right now.

Right now, I would rather be shopping with my two best friends and a limitless amount of money. I'd buy lots of pretty technicolor neon shoelaces, and probably the colored straight leg jeans they have now, or so I have heard. Afterwords, we would go to a really good movie none of us had seen before, and I would have lots of butter on my popcorn and Cherry Coke and Hot Tamales. On they way home, we'd go to the awesome little coffee shop that they're building a Starbucks by, and eat their delicious blueberry scones and drink their funky coffees. Then I'd like to actually go home, where we'd paint each other's nails and gab about nerd things. Describe your ideal movie.

My ideal movie would be a romance, but not a rom-com, as much as I love them. It needs to be far more obvious than just the two main characters. It would need to be The Princess Diaries with far more Clarisse/Joseph. With, of course, a happily-ever-after.
Describe the thing you most wish for...

[rant=notdirectedatanyonehere] Ugh. As a fan of those books, I loathed the movies. Clarisse was completely character-raped. She's supposed to be the ultimate evil Grandmother, and book!Clarisse is hilarious. In the fifth book, she took her OCD poodle, Rommiere, to a Five-Star restaurant and precipitated a sequence of events that led to an city-wide hotel strike. And Joe is a non-entity. Mia's REAL bodyguard is a muscle-bound Swede named Lars who hunts boar and has achieved the highest ranking possible in 14 different martial arts. And he's totally gay with Tina Hakim-Baba's bodyguard, Wassim. Of course, Tina was not in the movies, despite the fact that she is actually Mia's best friend throughout the book the first movie was based on. And the second movie I chose to ignore, as it has no basis in any of the books whatsoever. And they're all supposed to be in NYC, not San Francisco.[/rant] Now for the game. I most wish to be a successful author. And to have a life partner who believes me to be an equal in (almost) every way, and to have children without sacrificing my entire life for them. And to live in the city and/or country forever, and never, ever, ever go back to the suburbs. God, I hate the 'burbs. The houses all look alike and the coffee is watery. Describe your ideal house. Include property, exterior, neighborhood, interior, and the view from your window.

*Shields self* I'm sorry... I do love the films though. I love the films as films. I've never read the books, but I completely see your point and if I was a fan of the books I'd agree. But the Clarisse/Joseph makes me happy Anyway... My ideal house would be off in the middle of nowhere, but not too far from bigger towns/cities so I could shop. Not in a village, just off on it's own down the end of a long winding lane lined with high bushes off a country road. At the end of the road I'd have a wooden gate and fence surrounding the land. I'd have a huge square drive/courtyard at the front with the house behind it. At the back I'd have a square garden with a pond and it would be filled with wild flowers. The house would be a huge single storey things, but with a converted attic. It would have the front door opening into a huge farmhouse kitchen. off that room would be a open plan living room/dining room streching the whole back of the house. To the west, to get the afternoon sun, would be a sun lounge, lined with windows which would be a relaxing room. The converted attic would be my bedroom, and the only bedroom with an en suite including a bath and separate shower. The room would be a deep orange/red and cream painted with attic windows that I could look out of to see large open fields and rolling hills. And no other people/houses/anything. Just, you know, a farm or two and some sheep in the fields. Oops, I always forget this. Describe the same thing, it's a good question...

My ideal house would be a funky little bohemian flat above a busy street. I know it's weird, but the sound of cars zooming by has always been really soothing to me, since my backyard growing up backed into a highway (and a really bad neighborhood. When I was about five, my little brother and I were playing Indiana Jones in the backyard and a overheard a drug bust. This ain't the point.)
It'd have character, and by that, I mean sinks in the closet and a toilet separated from the kitchen by only a curtain. I do not know why, but that kind of eclecticness has always appealed to me.
The neighborhood would be safe, with a lot of small bookstores and coffee houses and delis and such. Said flat would be located above a bookshop.
The neighbors would be really quirky, the kind of people I could use in my books. You know, elderly Chinese men with affections for goldfish. That type thing.
And it'd be great if you had to climb five flights of stairs or crawl in through a fire escape to get in.
Either that or a huge mansion with ginormous library and a bazillion staff people. But most likely the latter.
Describe your favorite person, can be fictional, dead, or theoretical.
(Did you know that, while "bajillion" is not a word, "bazillion" is? Google spellcheck told me so.)

I have two favourite people: my great grandmother and my twin sister.
My great grandmother is 96 this year. She broke her hip this year, and she actually healed fast than her roommate, who was 84 and had been there longer than she did. Though I do heal faster that my little sister, so I guess it's just some people heal better than others. But I remember one time, last Christmas, we were chatting before dinner, and my second cousin came into get drinks, and she asked for a rum and coke, which is her favourite drink. She turned to me and asked me if I drank, and I said no, to which she replied "neither do I." and laughed. But I love her with all my heart, and we are so completely alike - she loves everything about writing, and so do I, and we also share our love for seafood. She's an amazing person and she taught me not to change for anyone.
My twin, Crys, is my best friend. We've done everything together since we were kids, though now we're starting to do different things but we're still really close. We tell each other everything that happens in our lives. We fight, but we've never had a fight last longer than two days, and that was because (of course) of a boy. But even that didn't last very long. We've started a ritual together, so when one of us is stressed (me over school and her over sports) we just sit together and watch a movie, and eat ice cream until we fall asleep togehter on the couch. She's everything I'm not, but we still get along together perfectly. I love her.
Describe your favourite meal.

My favorite meal begins with an Apple Gorgonzola Salad (Fresh romaine, gorgonzola, seasoned walnuts, dried cranberries, Granny Smith Apples, Italian Vinaigrette). It's my favorite. Then I would have Gnocchi in a light marinara sauce with fresh mozz that has been there long enough to melt a little with fresh basil on top. If I ever have any room left, tiramisu to finish. Then I would roll away to some dark corner and die happy. Describe your favorite place to write (or read if you aren't a writer).

My favourite place to write is in the river that goes through my back yard (I loooovvve the country). There's this huge rock that's perfect for sitting on in the middle of the river. I love the water, and I love swimming, and I love the sounds of the water trickling by me. The water is completely clear, and sometimes I can feel fish biting at my toes. There's a row of trees on one side, and then a field on the other. It's like the border of the forest. The water is always cool and there's one spot that's perfect for swimming, but near the rock it's only deep enough to cover up to my mid calf. It's so beautiful. It's always where my favourite ideas come up.
Umm.... Describe your favourite country.

My favourite country would have to be my country, England, as much as I hate the weather ever changing at a seconds notice, I love that the weather changes at a seconds notice. I love being out with friends and all of a sudden its pouring with rain and we're running, screaming for cover, but we're already soaked before we get there. I love that the law on drinking is 18 not 21. I love that once we reach the legal age its not that big a deal anymore. I loved being in the big city London, but I also love living in the countryside, even though its a nightmare to get anywere, I'd totally miss all the green and the trees and the quiet (except for the tractors lol). I love that I can travel all over, but as soon as I get off the plane (or ferry) I feel like I'm home.

My twenty-second birthday was the best. I was interning at an opera company in The Village (New York again). The company was run by wonderful people and I loved being their. After work, one of my closest friends met me in Union Square. We got some dinner and eat in the square. We went all over looking for DVDs, books and men - basically just roamed the city. We found our way to a cool pub. After a while at said pub, we wrapped up the evening with birthday pastries from a local bakery that was still open at 1am.

Shopping!! Clearly. lol. I'd take Cody out and we'd go shopping. And just completely blow some of it on clothes. and then I'd treat my parents to a nice dinner somewhere about an hour away - the restaurant is BRILLIANT - and while they were gone, I'd invite some friends over to buy our prom dresses on the internet. I'm not very creative... okay... Describe your ideal job.

It was while I was 14. I was at the house of one of the girls I spent a lot of time with that year. They had three chowchows. They seemed like really nice dogs. It was my second or third time at her house and I was in the kitchen with her and her step-mom who was very, very pregnant. Out of no where, the dogs started attacking each other. Her step-mom yelled at me to get on the counter, because she thought they might turn on me since they didn't know me. She was trying to pull them apart and my friend was trying to help. It was a nightmare. Her dad just happened to come home right then. Her step-mom, who worked as an assistant at a Vet's office, ended up having two of them put down that night; one because it was so aggressive and the other because it was so injured. I just remember blood all over the floor and I have been scared of chows ever since. Horrible memory. Describe your favorite pajamas.

Muah, interesting question... Lessee, on the physical side of things I've got brown hair and green eyes (or, as my friend insists, they are blue-ish green). And I'm short. But what did you expect out of an adolescent? On the more personality side of things, I like being alone a lot. Seriously, I can only stand visiting peoples houses for a few hours or so before I want to go home. And my mom likes to think that I take after her because I'm sarcastic. But, as I tell her, no. Just no. The same quesiton, because I want to hear more about people . . .
