Title: The Bird and the Fish
Summary: Filly and Mona go for a walk.
Rating: PG
A/N:I don't claim that this is any good, but this board was lonely. :'( So I wrote poem. Yes, I know it sucks. And dernit, I couldn't even keep it purely Charming Roots.

~~~`~~@/***\@~~'~~
Robes of earth and eyes of sky
Glisten, shining, on the walk
And earthy hands and careful hands
Are intertwining as they stroll
Inside, eyes of fire watch
Happy and amused and a little bit envious
And sighing, and kneads her wrinkled forehead
For a bird may love a fish…
He calls her name and comes to look
And laughs a little like a jolly old father hen
Happy to see his chicks flown the coop
And he kisses her neck
Although, this is how I think the other teachers see Filly and Mona. I think they're the "Aw aren't they cute" koochabooboo yay-yay snugglebunny pairing amongst the staff. Even if they seem a little bit ill-suited.
And Min, the eternal pessimist, is convinced that they are doomed. Even though DD's like, "AWW! I WANT TO BE THE FLOWERGIRL!" And Min's like ::) "You're an idiot."
Like it? Love it? Hate it? Want me dead now? Please let me know!
(And yes I know there all no male hens. I was trying to make a point. )
I really like this. Immediately I thought of a conversation from Ever After:
Danielle: A bird may love a fish, signore, but where will they live?
Leonardo da Vinci: Then I shall have to make you wings.
I simply love that movie. I love the role play of Albus and Minerva. That play of pessimist and eternal optimist. But he does kiss her neck at the end....makes you wonder, are they together yet or aren't they?
The walk Pomona and Filius share is sooo sweet, as you say, I do see how they represent all that is calm and sweet in a relationship.
Cheers,
Stef =o)
